Anxiety Monster

Here's a creature my little sister and I designed!

Inside every one of us lives a tiny being, I'd like to call him anxiety monster. Now he's not big or has pointy teeth or anything like that at all. He's actually pretty small, but so many people fear him. He's tiny but he can make small problems seem bigger than they actually are, he can wreak havoc and cause everyone to panic, it's like whenever he's around he can just flick a little switch to set people off sometimes he can even convince you that people hate you and stuff like that. Not cool . This has been happening a lot to me lately, the feeling of not being a good enough person, wanting to do more than I actually can, and just fear of not being able to go anywhere or do anything when everyone else is doing cool things. When these things happen sometimes people tell you to just "brush it off" or "let it go man its not a big deal" well it feels really hard because things like that are easier said than done. In these cases I like to tell myself that fear is just an idea, not a reality. Anxiety just forces us to believe that the things we fear about are real. We can't get rid of him though, no matter how hard you try, anxiety monster is just there. He's just living inside of everyone. You can't get rid of him but you can control him, he lives in you so technically I'd like to think that I'm the boss here ( funny but if you think of it, it's actually kind of true ). I believe that if we practice hard enough, we can control them better and soooo if these things do happen, try to remember that he's just a tiny thing, nothing to worry about and that fear is an idea we need to let go off then maybe this time anxiety monster will just stand there and watch instead of running around causing panic.
